Yesterday, I defended my paper, “Questions of Categorization: Surgical Interventions on Intersex Bodies in Late Medieval Europe,” for my master’s degree in history at the University of Guelph. The defense itself was a little intimidating, but it went very well.
I finished my master’s in just under a year, half of which was during the covid-19 global pandemic. It was not easy, but I had a great supervisor, Dr Jacqueline Murray, a great committee, support from my partner, and others who offered their guidance and expertise.
Next up: PhD in medieval studies.
(Also, I’ve become an entle again today, as my brother and his partner just gave birth to my first niece. That makes three niblings for me now. Exciting times!)
