I had a late start with my vegetable garden this year, with the weather we had in Toronto. Everything seems to be coming in late, but it’s finally starting.
My strawberry bushes died in the late frost, and by the time I realized they weren’t coming back from the dead it was too late. My blueberry bush is starting to grow leaves again, but I haven’t seen any flowers yet. The cherry tree is new this year, and already has one cherry.
It was incredibly sour, but delightful nonetheless.
This year I planted four kinds of tomatoes (two are dupes), two kinds of basil and jalapenos in the left side, and baby eggplants, zucchini, beets, ((Which look scraggly and terrible, so I’m hiding that half of the garden.)) and a ton of herbs on the right side.
Tomatoes, June 2014Is it just me or do these tomatoes look muscular and Hulk-like?
Look at that tiny zucchini. Isn’t it just darling?
